Chapter 14. Review your superannuation investments.

In the current financial market it is important to understand and know the risk of your superannuation investments.  For example, do you have exposure to Australian shares?  Do you have investments in Australian or international property?  Is your money all in cash?  This needs to be assessed in the context of your age and how close to retirement you are.  Someone nearer to retirement is more likely to be invested conservatively in fixed interest or cash, but a younger person can probably be invested in growth assets which usually increase over the longer term. This is a very complex subject and will be dealt with in another e-book.
